A good session, just 3 windsurfers and a handful of kiters by the time I arrived. The earlier onshore bit sounded good and clean for jumping and controllable conditions, but circumstances meant I arrived at 2ish with the wind heading cross shore and the advice to "go for the 5m", which I duly did only to find the wind escalating fast and launching straight into survival mode!! Went for the 4.5m after about 15 mins and that was good for the rest of the session, with max downhaul. Things got a bit hairy for the kiters with some respectable gusts coming through, so they all left us to it. Waves were clean and lining up nicely, linked a few good ones down the line quite a distance. Making some silly top turn recoveries. Size was certainly boom high, possibly more on the sets and further out. Picking the right one was the challenge and on more than a few occasions it felt like a good'un, only to 'bottom turn' into flat water. The bigger ones seemed to start longer then loom up to give clean down the line.
